Daniel Gomez, 65, of Brentwood, mowed down a 56-year-old unhoused man on Sunrise Highway around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Suffolk County Police Department said. Gomez was traveling westbound on the road in a 2012 Honda Accord when he crashed into the man at the intersection with North Indiana Avenue in North Lindenhurst, according to investigators.
