Chris Spatola Dies Suddenly: ESPN Analyst, Coach K’s Son-In-Law Was 47, Attended School in MA College basketball is mourning a TV analyst whose ties to the game stretched far beyond the broadcast booth. ESPN announced that Chris Spatola, 47, died unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 21. The former Duke staff member was the son-in-law of legendary coach Mike "Coach K" Krzyzewski.
