$420M Could Bring Costco, Thousands Of Homes, Jobs To This Community
Maryland is thinking very, very big.
Montgomery County lawmakers approved up to $420 million in tax increment financing bonds on Tuesday, July 28, to help pave the way for Viva White Oak, a massive $2.8 billion development expected to begin construction this fall.
And Costco is just the beginning.
The 280-acre project calls for up to 5,000 residences and more than 3 million square feet of lab, office, medical office, and retail space near the US Food and Drug Administration headquarters and Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center.
