There will be an elevated risk of fire danger in the DMV region on Thursday due to the continued dry conditions and expected gusty winds, according to the National Weather Service. Two Tornadoes Touched Down In Virginia During Tropical Storm: National Weather Service
The National Weather Service has confirmed that at least two tornados touched ground in Virginia as they continue to probe the damage done by Tropical Storm Debby. Storms rolled through the region late last week, wreaking havoc in parts of the DMV region, including several areas in Virginia. A Tornado Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service as Tropical Storm Debby continues to batter the DMV region.
