Suspect Nabbed For Allegedly Killing Fellow CT UPS Worker, Police Say
Connecticut State Police have captured a suspect following a massive statewide manhunt for the alleged murder of a UPS driver on Route 8.
Police arrested Hartford County resident Elijah David Bertrand, age 19, who is also a UPS employee, around 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 23, in Litchfield County, in the town of Plymouth, said state police.
The murder took place around 10:36 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22, in Litchfield County on Route 8 northbound near Exit 37 in Watertown, said state police.

ID Released For UPS Driver Assaulted, Killed In Connecticut
Connecticut State Police have released the identity of a UPS driver killed by a man who assaulted him on Route 8.
Nathan D. Burk, 28, of Waterbury, was killed around 10:36 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22, in Litchfield County on Route 8 northbound near Exit 37 in Watertown, said state police.
Troopers discovered Bruk, who is an employee with UPS after members of Troop L in Litchfield originally responded to a reported vehicle crash involving a UPS shipping truck, said state police.

Man Attempted To Scam Long Island Woman Out Of Thousands, Police Say
A 31-year-old man was arrested on Long Island for allegedly attempting to pull an "elder scam" on an elderly woman.
Devon Johnson, of Queens, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 4, in Westbury for the scam which took place on Tuesday, Nov. 3, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, an 80-year-old woman, who lives out of state, was contacted via telephone on Tuesday by an unknown man who told her grandson was arrested and needed bail money for his release.
