New Hampshire Man In Custody After Hours-Long Standoff At Connecticut Hotel
After a standoff that lasted more than three hours, a New England man who was barricaded in a hotel room with a woman was arrested by police.
Jordan Pappalardo, age 26, of Manchester, New Hampshire, was arrested on Monday, April 26, in Connecticut by Manchester Police after he told officers he had a gun and refused to come out of the Courtyard By Marriott, said Lt. Ryan Shea of the Manchester Police Department.
The incident began around 10:30 p.m. when officers attempted to contact Pappalardo who had an extraditable warrant out of New Hampshire, said Shea.

Patient Accused Of Assaulting Staffer At Hospital In Fairfield County
A Fairfield County man was arrested for allegedly attacking an area hospital employee and making threats.
Brian Dougherty, age 51, of Stamford, was arrested around 3:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 30, after Greenwich Police Officers responded to Greenwich Hospital, authorities said.
Dougherty assaulted a member of the hospital staff and made threats, said Greenwich PD Capt. Mark E. Zuccerella.
He was charged with assaulting a public health worker, threatening, and disorderly conduct.
Dougherty was held on a $10,000 bond which he was unable to post.
Man Accused Of Threatening To 'Cut' Tree Worker With Ax In Fairfield County, Police Say
A man was arrested for allegedly threatening a tree trimmer with an ax while he was cutting branches from a tree in Fairfield County.
Jonathan Damast, age 45, of Wilton, was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 7, after Wilton Police responded to a home on Ridge Lane for a dispute, said Lieutenant Gregg Phillipson.
According to Phillipson, officers responded to Ridge Lane, for a report of a man yelling at tree workers.

Area Man Threatens Woman, Steals Purse, Police Say
An area man has been arrested on a warrant for threatening to hurt a woman and then stealing her purse.
Eric Lapenna, 33, of Milford, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 12, by Milford Police, said the Milford Police.
Lapenna is accused of threatening to hurt a woman that was driving him from an appointment. The female exited the vehicle and Lapenna then grabbed her purse, got in the driver’s seat, and drove away in her vehicle in June 2020.
He was charged with:
Robbery
Breach of peace
Threatening
Two counts of larceny
Lapenna was held on a $20,000 bond.
Man Threatens Victim With Machete, Steals Items During Altercation In Greenwich, Police Say
A Fairfield County man was arrested on a warrant for allegedly threatening to attack a person in a vehicle with him with a machete and stealing some of their possessions.
Antonio Llanos-Lopez, 48, of Stamford, was arrested on Friday, Nov. 20, for the incident which took place on Friday, Oct. 16, in Greenwich, said the Greenwich Police.
According to police, Llanos-Lopez was in a vehicle with another person when they became involved in an argument and physical altercation, police said.

A New Haven County man was arrested after allegedly threatening to harm two employees at different locations following a shoplifting incident.
Isreal Skinner, 42, of Hamden, was arrested on Monday, Nov. 9, after Milford Police responded to the Boscov's on Boston Post Road for a report of a shoplifting, said the Milford Police.
An investigation found that Skinner, who is accused of stealing a $60 sweatshirt, threatened to mace an employee when stopped, police said.
