Wrong-Way Driver Dies In Route 80 Crash An elderly driver headed the wrong way on westbound Route 80 was killed overnight when his sedan crashed into an SUV, responders said. The Audi driver -- apparently in his late 80s -- was declared dead at the scene of the crash on the Passaic River bridge in Woodland Park just after 4:30 a.m. Responders believe he was intoxicated. There was no immediate word on injuries to anyone in the SUV. Three lanes remained closed for an investigation by New Jersey State Police and clearing of the wreckage at milepost 56.5. Man Nabbed For Violating Protection Order, Threatening Victim In Wilton A 54-year-old area man was arrested for verbally threatening another person while intoxicated, according to the Wilton Police. Rusty L. McClintock, of Wilton, was arrested Saturday, June 16, after Wilton police responded to a 911 call and on arrival found McClintock, intoxicated and still threatening the victim, Lt. Robert Kluk said. He was arrested and charged with threatening and violation of a protective order. He is being held on $10,000 bond., Kluk said.

Driver Who Crashed, Damaged Car In Rockland Was Drunk, Police Say Local and state police are investigating a motor vehicle crash, where the driver was allegedly intoxicated, according to investigators in Ramapo. Officers from the Ramapo Police Department located a vehicle at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Sunday morning on the Garden State Parkway Extension near Red School House Road, which was missing a front tire and had been involved in an alleged crash.
