Helicopter Inspecting Power Lines Crashes In Hudson Valley, FAA Says Two people were injured during a helicopter crash in the Hudson Valley, according to the FAA. The crash took place around 8:56 a.m., Friday, June 18, while the pilot of the McDonnell Douglas 500 helicopter was inspecting power lines near Swan Lake in Sullivan County, the FAA said. Two people were aboard, both were injured and were flown to Westchester Medical Center for treatment. New York State Police and the FAA have secured the site. Helicopter Pilot Injured In Reigle Airport Crash A helicopter crashed at Reigle Airport in South Londonderry Township left one man injured on Saturday. Emergency crews were called to the airport for the crash around 6 p.m. and remained on the scene for four hours. The pilot, a 68-year-old Mechanicsburg man, was injured when the helicopter crashed, according to police. The man was taken to the hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the FAA and NTSB.
