House Painter Sentenced For Sexually Abusing 5-Year-Old Girl In Northern Westchester Home
A house painter working in a Westchester home has been sentenced to nearly a decade behind bars and will register as a sexual offender after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a 5-year-old girl. Port Chester resident Fabio Coutinho, 42, has been sentenced to eight years in state prison, followed by 15 years of post-release supervision after pleading guilty to one count of criminal sexual act, a felony, earlier this year. When he is released from prison, Coutinho will also have to register as a sexual offender. There will be a Sex Offender Registration Act at a later date to determine what …

Seen Him? State Police Search For Convict With Fairfield County Ties
State police are asking the public for help locating a former Bridgeport man who is wanted for violating the terms of his release. Jason Voss, 44, who was convicted on three drug charges, failed to submit a DNA sample, that was required as a condition of his release, state police said. He was arrested three times for possession of marijuana, with the last in 2015. He was given a seven-year suspended sentence, with a conditional discharge that included the DNA testing, state police said. State police have made numerous unsuccessful efforts to find Voss. Breakthrough DNA Testing IDs 9/11 Victim As New Jersey Man
After more than half a dozen futile attempts over the course of 17 years to identify a single bone found in the rubble of the World Trade Center, medical examiners finally had a breakthrough this week. Thanks to advances in DNA testing, the bone was linked to a 26-year-old financial worker from New Jersey who died in the 9/11 attacks, the New York Times reports.
