Deer Rescued After Falling In Ice In Oceanport: FD
A deer was saved after they fell into the ice in Oceanport on Tuesday, Feb. 17, authorities said. Firefighters responded to the Shrewsbury River near Pocano Avenue to rescue the deer, Port-Au-Peck Chemical Hose Volunteer Fire Company said. Multiple fire departments along with Oceanport police and first aid crews worked hand in hand to safely the rescue the deer and bring it back to shore, firefighters said.

Sometime before dawn Wednesday, a deer being chased by a dog crashed through the window of a River Vale home, police said. The gravely wounded deer eventually died, Capt. Chris Bulger said.
