Three Involved In $3M Stolen Credit Card Ring Busted In Westchester
Three members of an alleged nationwide multi-million dollar stolen credit card ring were reportedly arrested in Westchester, according to the Westchester County Business Journal. The ring’s alleged leader, Hamilton Eromosele was charged with aggravated identity theft and he and two others, Youssouf “Slim” Traore and Deja Monet were charged with conspiracy to commit bank fraud, according to a WestfairOnline.com report. Edgewater Defendant Indicted In $12M Go-Go Bar Theft Ring
An Edgewater man conspired with the owner of a shuttered go-go bar to use stolen credit card information – and illegally acquired gift cards – to steal more than $12 million, authorities said. Kevin Bae, 30, shared a bank account with the Morris County bar owner “into which millions of dollars were transferred” through the scheme, Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal said Friday. Fairfield County Man Sentenced In ICE 'Dark Web' Child Porn Case
A Fairfield County man was sentenced for possessing child pornography after his conviction in a 'Dark Web' investigation led by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations division in New Haven. The HSI operation led by special agents revealed in 2017 that Michael Hull, 61, of Shelton, was accessing the dark web to search for, view and download child pornography. Card Data Stolen From 5 Million Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue Customers
Two of the nation's premier department stores suffered a security breach that has compromised credit and debit card as well as personal information for more than five million customers. About 125,000 cards used at Lord & Taylor and Saks Fifth Avenue have been released for sale so far on dark web forums, according to Gemini Advisory, a New York-based cyber-security firm.
