Vi-Jon, LLC is voluntarily recalling one lot of CVS Magnesium Citrate Saline Laxative Oral Solution Lemon Flavor, 10 FL OZ (296 mL) to the consumer level, the Food and Drug Administration announced. Testing identified the affected lot of the product to contain the bacteria Gluconacetobacter liquefaciens, the FDA said. A man has been charged with allegedly attacking a police officer and punching him in the eye during an arrest attempt on Long Island. The incident took place in Oceanside around 3:10 a.m., Friday, June 17. According to detectives, Julian Lynch, age 28, of Brooklyn, entered a 7-11 located at 475 Merrick Road. CPR Performed On Victim Pulled From Car In Frederick County Pond
Firefighters rescued a driver who sent his car careening into a pond in Frederick County Tuesday, May 31, authorities said. The victim was found in his car in the retaining pond behind the CVS at 5414 Rotary Avenue in New Market around 8:45 p.m,, the Frederick County Sheriff's Office said. The Frederick County (MD) Fire & Rescue was assisted by sheriff's deputies in extricating the victim. CPR was performed before he was taken to Frederick Health Hospital in unknown condition.

Police are searching for a man who robbed a CVS in the region for drugs. In Western Massachusetts, Longmeadow Police said the suspect targeted the store on Longmeadow Street at around 6:45 p.m. Thursday, May 5.
