Tanker Truck Driver Remembered As 'Wonderful Husband,' Dad After Fatal Route 309 Crash (Update)
The tanker truck driver killed in a head-on crash with a tractor-trailer on Route 309 is remembered as a devoted husband, father, and hardworking family man.
Keith Staines, 52, of Tamaqua, was killed when his tanker truck collided with a tractor-trailer near Route 309 and Gun Club Road in Lynn Township around 3:35 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.
Staines was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:10 p.m. He died from multiple blunt force trauma, and his death was ruled accidental following an autopsy on Monday, Aug. 10.

Raw Oysters At Steakhouse Left Firefighter With Permanent Brain Damage, Lawsuit Says
A father, ex-Marine, and firefighter suffered cardiac arrest and a permanent brain injury after eating raw oysters at a popular Chicago steakhouse chain, according to a newly filed lawsuit.
The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Joe Belgio on Monday, Aug. 10, in Cook County Circuit Court, IL, against Gibsons Steakhouse - Oak Brook, LLC, GRG Holdings, Supreme Lobster and Seafood Company, Taylor Shellfish Company, and other defendants.
