Sedan Catches Fire On Taconic State Parkway A sedan was destroyed in a fire on the Taconic State Parkway in Northern Westchester.  The fire happened at around 11:49 a.m. on Sunday, July 26, on the northbound Taconic State Parkway near Exit 16 in Yorktown, according to the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department. When firefighters arrived, they found the sedan fully engulfed in flames, according to the department. Crews stretched a hose line and quickly brought the fire under control without incident.  No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was not made public.
