A 21-year-old Connecticut adventurer who died after an apparent fall near Montana’s tallest mountain was a passionate explorer and gamer who felt happiest outdoors or traveling the world, according to his family.
Jackson Gregory Slimak, 21, of Southington, died Aug. 24 in the wilderness near the 12,800-foot-tall Granite Peak in Montana's Beartooth Mountain range. Search crews from Wyoming and Montana found his body on Thursday, Aug. 27, after searching for nearly three days, Cowboy State Daily reported.
